Citizens fly balloons to answers question the developer won’t

The proposed George hotel (as currently designed) would be 125 tall from the waterfront path.

Personally, I find it difficult to picture just how high a 125 ft tall tower would actually be in context of the village. So, on Sunday morning I am planning to go down to the bottom of Winn Road (public land) to hoist some balloons up on 125 feet of line, to gets sense of just how high the proposed George hotel would be. (fingers crossed that the wind cooperates!)

I’d like to invite any and all folks who are curious or concerned to come down to the Landing on Sunday morning (Nov 24th) between 10:30 am – 12:00 pm, and LOOK UP!

Please feel free come over say hello at the bottom of Winn Road, and to bring a camera and take pictures from your favourite spots along the way. Also, if you (or someone you know) have view concerns, you might want to take a picture from your home windows too.
